ABOUT
The Darkroom Chicago is a Black mom-owned community darkroom and creative space dedicated to making film photography accessible and engaging. Rooted in a generational love for analog photography, we offer hands-on workshops where youth, individuals, couples, and community members can shoot, develop, and print their own black-and-white film.
Our mission is simple: introduce attendees to the beauty of analog photography, guiding them through the full process of shooting, developing, and creating art. Whether you're looking for a creative date night, an inspiring outing with friends, or a darkroom to develop your own film. The Darkroom Chicago offers a space to explore, connect, and rediscover the magic of film.
